This article intends to represent the review of, author Anand Singh’s newly published monumental work “Nalanda; A Glorious Past”. It turns out to be an experience unfolding the complete picture of Nalanda, by meticulously unwinding the historical piece of five components that constituted this majestic university. The five sections cover; 1. Scholasticism and Academic Traditions in Nalanda 2. Economic and Administrative Regulations 3. Monuments ; Monastic Structures, Chaityas, Stupas, and Stuccos 4. Important Worshiping Traditions 5. Contacts With China And Indonesia. In addition, prof. Singh has also dealt with the controversial issue of ‘Decline of Nalanda Mahavira’.
